Safety Precautions

The IIA of IL is committed to moving forward with in-person meetings and events as long as it is reasonable and safe to do so. We have implemented the following actions to help keep attendees safe:

  • ​The IIA of IL will provide enough space to allow for social distancing during meeting, education and social events.
  • The IIA of IL will work with event venues to ensure a clean environment for attendees.
  • The IIA of IL will encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event space.
  • The IIA of IL will honor cancelation requests due to COVID-19 symptoms or exposure.
  • The IIA of IL will require all attendees to confirm that they are not displaying symptoms of COVID-19 and have not been exposed to anyone who tested positive within the last 48 hours. Anyone who does have symptoms or has been exposed will not be admitted to the event, and a full refund of registration fees will be provided.

EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, IIA of IL meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by IIA of IL and other third parties, including but not limited to the venue, the host city, and the host CVB. Your registration may include technology that monitors your activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance and booths visited.


CANCELLATION POLICIES

IIA of IL cancellation policies vary by event and education class type.

CE CLASSES

To request a transfer/cancellation or for questions contact the IIA of IL Education Department at education@iiaofil.org or (800) 628-6436.

The cancellation and refund policy for IIA of IL continuing education classes will be as follows:

Students may transfer to a different class or agency may substitute a different attendee at any time prior to the date of the class without penalty. Classes/students may be transferred one time without incurring cancelation fees as outlined below.

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • Cancellation 7 to 14 days prior: CIC $50 fee; CISR, general CE, and webinars: $25 fee
  • Cancellation 1-6 days prior: CIC $75 fee; CISR, general CE and webinars: $25 fee
  • No call/no show – refund requests will not be honored in this circumstance. Transfer requests not made prior to the start of the class will not be honored.  
  • Special exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

PRE-LICENSING CLASSES

The Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program has developed copyrighted material for pre-licensing classes. Because of this, the cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

Refund request received one week prior to class.
Full refund will be issued as long as they have not yet received, or returned, any materials that have been mailed, such as hard copies of the pre-licensing book. Failure to return materials will result in $50 taken off the refund.

Refund request received less than one week prior to class.
No refund will be issued, but fee can be transferred to a future class.

Completion Certificate
In order to receive your certificate which will enable to sit for the State licensing exam you will have to:

  • Take a 25 question quiz per line of authority (Property, Casualty, Life, Accident & Health) and pass with a 70% (18 out of 25).
  • Attend 7 ½ hours of classroom instruction for each line of authority (Property, Casualty, Life, Accident & Health) that you have enrolled in will be tracked through attendance check-ins throughout the 7 ½ hours of instruction.

ANNUAL EVENTS

Refunds for individual registrations for IIA of IL annual events/conferences (Legislative Day, EDGE, CONVO, Farm Agents Council) will only be given to cancellation requests received 14 business days prior to the event. Cancellation requests should be sent to info@iiaofil.org.

Cancellations or changes to exhibit booth registrations will be subject to the cancellation policy outlined on the exhibit booth registration form for that event.


LOCAL EVENTS

Refunds for individual registrations for IIA of IL local events, including, but not limited to regional events and local legislative events, will only be given to cancellation requests received by close of business 14 business days prior to the event, unless otherwise noted on registration form. Cancellation requests should be sent to info@iiaofil.org.
